A Run In With Reality

Image
(Real quick before we get into this post, I wrote this on May 3rd and I'm not posting it until now. I wasn't going to but then I decided I should. So here it goes.) Hey readers, It's been a while, I've been gone off of this website and to be honest, I didn't think I would come back. Something in me thought that if I walked away from this part of my life then it would disappear forever. I was wrong, this morning I had a sudden urge to take out my laptop and start typing out my thoughts and try to explain myself. I'm not even sure if I will publish this or just let it sit in my files with some of my other posts because I decided they were not good enough. I think I do that with aspects in my own life as well, I find something not good enough and I give up on it. Myself for example, if I'm feeling worthless and not good enough I give up on trying to be the best version of myself. So I lock myself away, give in to the negative thoughts and let myself beco...

Winter Vacation

Image
Hey readers! If you've been reading my posts for a while then you'll know that I have mentioned that I was going out of the city to a beach house with my family. I just got back from that vacation and I thought I would write about it for you guys so that you can kind of come along with me and my experiences. We left on Monday morning, packed up the car and drove. When we got there we each picked out our rooms in the house and went straight to the pool to relax. We also brought my dog, Daisy, with us. Every night I would run down to the ocean and see the sun set. It was amazing to see all the beautiful pastel colors shine through the sky and reflect off the calm sea. One morning, I woke up at 6 am, put on some pants and sweatshirt, then ran up to the roof of my beach house to lay down and look at the stars. I saw beautiful bright stars and the moon was as bright as ever. At about 6:30, I ran back inside and slide back into my warm bed and fell asleep. You may be thinking, 6:3...

5 Activities To Do In Winter

Image
Hey readers! As you know from my last post, it is becoming the winter season! And of course I completely forgot to write a post like this for the fall season but here is one for winter!! Most of you are probably about to finish school and work for vacation in a couple weeks or days, and you are going to have a lot of free time on your hands. And sometimes we don't know what to do with that time and we get a little bored. So, I'm here today to kind of act as your guide for all things winter and give you some ideas of what you can do. All of these are things I have 100% done before, because why would I recommend something when I haven't tested it to make sure that it is good for you guys. If you would like to add to my list, if I've missed some major time spenders, then let me know some more of your ideas in the comment section below. Alright, let's get right into it! :) 1. Ice Skating ! I have been ice skating a couple times during the winter season, and if you...

Winter Wonderland

Happy December! I can't believe we are in the very last month of the year. Its always an exciting time for everyone with the holidays, winter break, and spending time with family. In winter it also gets very cold. Some people love it, and some don't. Personally if its cold out, you will find me wrapped in a blanket with hot coffee and reading a good book. And SNOW, ah the magical time of the year with snowflakes drifting down to the earth, resting on your eyelashes and melting on your tongue. It's almost unbelievable when you look out your window after a snow shower and to see the beauty of the snow on the tall evergreen trees and the cozy homes with smoke coming out of the chimney. It looks like the scene is covered in a white fluffy blanket being tucked away until spring. Many of you who see snow every year might not see it as a big deal, but for me, it is one of the most beautiful things you can see. I haven't seen snow in almost five years because I am always movin...

Autumn Air

Image
Hey you guys! It's Autumn! I'm so excited. And yes I know I'm a little late to the fall obsessed trend. You all are probably all ready for winter already!  Also when I think of fall I think of soccer season. :) And as you know I'm soccer-obsessed, because it is basically my favorite sport. Another thing that excites me about fall/autumn is the cooler air. Where I live, a warm climate, our "fall"  is not freezing weather. But it does get a little chilly.  Oh and candles! I love lighting candles and playing my favorite music on my phone. Also, one thing I've been doing recently is listening to podcasts.  Podcasts help me calm down and let my mind think while I might be doing other things like washing dishes or doing some needed chores around my home. My favorite podcast right now is " Pretty Basic" by Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz. I would highly recommend listening to their podcasts. You can listen to podcasts on Itunes, Apple Podc...

Summer Feels

Image
Dear readers, it has been quite a long time since I have written and posted on this blog.  I have been extremely busy with school, sports, and music. Also with my school year ending last week, my schedule was quite hectic. But now that I have free time I might be posting a little more often than usual. Today starts my first week of summer break and I'm enjoying myself so far. Late nights and sleeping in late is a pleasure I miss during the school year, so being able to do that during the summer is pretty exciting for me. Also today I just relaxed at home and had kind of a spa day. Well, that is all I have to say today. I just wanted to give you all somewhat of an update and that this blog isn't dead quite yet.  I hope you all have an amazing day, and I'll see you on the flipside! -BloggerGirl
